Paris & Me

I love Paris, I try to go there every year in Spring. Here's a list of recommendations of places that I would definitely go in Paris.

Places to eat
Georges - Centre Pompidou, 6th floor, 19 rue Beaubourg, 4e, Paris
Menu items are mostly Continental, with hints of Asia. some of the best items on the menu are roasted scallops with lemon butter and tuna steak spiced with coriander. There's also a luscious version of sole meunière.
Ladurée - 75 av. des Champs-Elysées, 8e, Paris
Laudurée's macaroons - not the coconut version familiar to Americans. but two almond meringue cookies, flavored with vanilla, coffee, strawberry, pistachio, or another flavor, held together with butter cream.
Angélina - 226, rue de Rivoli
Famous for their hot chocolate l'Africain, a decadent concoction with a pure, rich, velvety flavor & texture, accompanied by unsweetened whipped cream in a white ceramic pitcher and a beautiful globe glass pitcher of ice water all provided by white-aproned servers. They'll bring by a dessert tray in case your menu French is not up to par.

Le Café Marly at the Louvre

Coffee Marly Paris is in the Richelieu wing of the Louvre Palace. It's terrace is on the Cour Napoléon, the Pyramid is no more than 50 yards away.Inside of the coffee, glass walls are all that seperate the salon from sculpture and works of art in the Louvre itself.

Places to see

Musee du Louvre

Located in Paris, the Louvre is one of the largest palaces in the world and, as a former residence of the kings of France, one of the most illustrious. It exemplifies traditional French architecture since the Renaissance, and it houses a magnificent collection of ancient and Western art.

Centre Pompidou

This center for 20th- and 21st-century art, designed by Richard Rogers and Renzo Piano, opened in 1977 and quickly became the focus of controversy. Its bold exoskeletal architecture and the brightly painted pipes and ducts crisscrossing its transparent facade were jarring in the old Beaubourg neighborhood.

Places to stay
Hotel du Petit Moulin - 29/31 rue de Poitou75003 Paris

Christian Lacroix is the name behind the interior design of this new 4 star hotel lying in the heart of Le Marais. You can discover the many different faces of Le Marais from the Hotel du Petit Moulin : The Picasso and Carnavalet Museums, La Place des Vosges and also the art galleries, fashion boutiques, restaurants, cafes and theatres.
Hotel Elysées Régencia - 41 avenue Marceau75116 Paris

The Hotel Elysées Régencia offers charm, refinement and tranquillity with a distinguished decor. Ideally located, our establishment is a real treasure. A short walk from the Champs-Elysées, Place de l'Etoile and the Arc de Triomphe, but also close to the Embassies. Take advantage of a real link between the Paris of tourism and the Paris of business.
Nightlife

Mandala Ray
Owned by actors Johnny Depp, Sean Penn and John Malkovich, this bar-restaurant just minutes from the Champs Élysees has all the majesty of a Buddhist temple.

Paris is also my sister's cat.
